In view of GST changes coming in effect from 1st January 2024, all GST registered companies are now required to charge GST at a 9% rate. This article would show you how to do it in Shopcada,
Set 8% GST to end at 31-12-2023
- From Manage Your Store (DASHBOARD), go to Settings page
- Under Payments, choose Tax Rates and Settings
- Click EDIT on the 8% GST Tax
- Scroll to the bottom of END DATE and enter 2023-12-31
- Click SAVE
Create 9% GST to start at 1-1-2024
- From Manage Your Store (DASHBOARD), go to Settings page
- Under Payments, choose Tax Rates and Settings
- Click Add Tax
- Copy the information from the 8% tax to the new tax, only changing the percentage to 9%
- At the START DATE enter 2024-1-1
- Leave the END DATE blank
- Click SAVE
