Overview
Change prices, stock, weight, racks and barcodes for many products at once: download a product CSV, edit it, and upload it back.
Step 1: Download the Product File
There are two ways to download. Both give you Products.csv, with one row per variant.
Tick only the columns you plan to change.
The upload writes back every column in the file. If a product changes after you download, your file’s older value replaces it.
Download by Classification or Status
- Navigate to Dashboard > Products > Products.
- Click the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Click Download Products.
- Choose what to include.
- Click Download.

| Include Pricing | List Price, Sell Price, and Sale Price with its start and end dates. Cost is added only if you have the Manage Products Cost permission. |

| Include Inventory | Adds a stock column for each inventory location, plus a Description column. Stores without inventory locations get one Qty column. |
| Include Rack | Adds a rack column for each inventory location, or one Rack column. |
Download Selected Products
Use the Download Products bulk action for only certain products.
The file has the same columns.
- In the Product Manager, tick the products, or click Select all to take everything your search and filters found.
- Choose Download Products from the bulk action menu.
- Tick Include Pricing, Include Weight, Include Inventory or Include Rack.
- Click Submit.
Step 2: Edit the File
- Open Products.csv in a spreadsheet app.
- Change the values.
- Save the file as CSV.
Keep the header row exactly as downloaded.
Do not add or remove cells in a row.
To leave a field alone, delete its whole column instead of emptying the cells.

| Product ID and SKU | Required. Together they find the variant, so do not change them. A row that matches no variant is skipped without a message. |
| Title and Created Date | For reference only. Changes here are not saved. |
| List Price, Cost, Barcode and Rack columns | The value you enter replaces the old one. A blank cell clears it. |
| Sell Price | A blank cell or 0 is ignored, so the sell price stays as it is. |
| Sale Price, Sale Price Start Date, Sale Price End Date | Read only when all three columns are in the file. Fill in all three, with dates as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. To remove a sale, enter 0.00 and leave both dates empty. If only some are filled in, that row’s sale price is not changed. |
| Weight | A whole number in grams. A blank cell is ignored. |
| Stock columns | Enter the stock level you want, not the change. Shopcada records the difference as an inventory movement. A blank cell leaves stock unchanged. On stores without inventory locations, a blank Qty sets stock to 0. |
| Description | The note on the inventory movements this upload creates, up to 1,024 characters. Leave it blank to use “Inventory CSV Upload”. |
If your spreadsheet app changes a SKU when it opens the file, for example by dropping leading zeros, that row no longer matches and is skipped.
Step 3: Upload the File
- Navigate to Dashboard > Products > Products.
- Click the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Click Update Products.
- Choose your file under Product CSV file.
- Click Upload.
Shopcada reports how many variants it updated. Skipped rows are not counted or listed.
Nothing is changed if the file has no Product ID or SKU column, repeats a column name, has a row with a different number of cells from the header, or has a Description over the limit.
Extra price columns, such as additional currencies, custom prices and bulk discount prices, appear only on stores that use them. Please contact support@shopcada.com to confirm which columns apply to your store.
